Cryptid #064 "The Shape of a Gun"

Execution Procedures: If the asset ever turns hostile to personnel, place it in isolated area until obedience is observed. If that doesn't work, insert it into the nearest incinerator.

 

Description: Cryptid 064 is roost of cicadas, estimated to be around sixty-five in number, molded into the shape of a IMI Desert Eagle handgun. The roost cannot be taken apart for maintenance, as it will act temporarily aggressive to the instigator by protruding several mandibles towards the instigator, and attempting to eat them. 064 must be immersed in a protein bath when not in use, or else a die-off will be initiated within the roost. When attempted to fire remotely or without holding the grip, the asset will not fire, and the trigger will not move. When picked up and held in the firing stance, the asset will stab the user, henceforth 064-1, in the palm with hollow mandibles, initiating blood consumption, around 53 milliliters for every bullet fired. The blood is theorized to act as a motivator for the brood, as it will allow 064-1 to fire anomalously dense and sturdy cicada shells. When the entire magazine is spent, it takes up to two minutes for each "bullet" to regenerate, totally at 18 minutes to regenerate the full clip. If 064 sustains damage, the asset slowly regenerates, but the effect is quickened if still given blood. it will regenerate cicadas until it is back to its uninjured state. No reproduction has been observed outside of damage regeneration

 

Recovery Notes: 064 was recovered from the private firearm collection of a Mr. James █████████████. James  █████████████ was found dead of a heart attack on the night of November 17, 199 █. Due to the size of his collection, the ATF and FBI were notified and collected his weapons. 064's anomalous features were discovered and reported to ARC, who confiscated it shortly after. Another cryptid was found and confiscated by a rival organization, before ARC was notified.

Investigations into Mr.  █████████████ and his associates are underway, as it seems they were affiliated with MC&D.
