Destruction Procedures: In the unlikely event of a  "Charade" scenario, strategically placed explosives will cut off the bridges and roads away from the town, and send field scouts to exterminate the 584 instances. Amnestics will be administered to surrounding towns, and maps will be changed accordingly. All non-cryptic assets will be salvaged and repurposed for the Institute's use. Firebomb remains of town and instances to clean up biological residue.

 

Description: 584 is a localized anomaly wherein the natives of the town ---------, Michigan, hereby designated 584-1, are resistant to all versions of Amnestics, Memory-Suppressors, and forms of Amnesia. Diseases which affect the memory such as Alzheimer’s, is virtually nonexistent. All people born within the radius of the anomaly have these traits, so non-natives who give birth in the radius of the anomaly should be dealt with immediately. The residents of the town are Amish, technophobic, and extremely isolationistic, due to their upbringing. They have been cooperative throughout the Institute's occupation, but that may change.

 

Recovery: The anomaly came to the Institute's attention when a containment breach (see Incident Report 428-c) released -- assets into the town. During the following cleanup procedure, field scouts realized the amnestics had no effect on 584-1 instances, and radioed in for instruction. During a battery of tests, it was soon realized the 584-1 instances asset prevented ALL forms of memory loss, anomalous or not, besides the brain's natural loss of memory integrity over time.
